Welcome to Liberty!

in Liberty Nursing Center of Lima

Chris is the new Social Services Director at Liberty and she is doing an excellent job! She took the bull by the horns and knows how to get things done but has also developed a wonderful rapport with the residents and staff. A proper introduction is also to be extended to her Miniature Daschund, Frankie. She goes around with Chris and totally brightens the day for our residents. Frankie is perfect for visits because she loves to be around people and has such a lovable disposition. What a blessing it is to have both Chris and Frankie with us at Liberty!

Halloween Hellos

in Liberty Nursing Center of Lima

Well, it wasn't Trick or Treat as usual but residents did enjoy the "Halloween Hellos" they received from the Management Team. Graveyard Garbage was served room to room by a Sumo Wrestler, a Ghostbuster, Wonder Woman, a Convict and Luige from the Mario Brothers. Residents also received "spider cookies" and in return our Halloween characters received an exchange of laughter and appreciation! It was a fun day and one resident commented, "They will never know how much this meant to us" so it was definitely worth the effort! Just in case you were wondering...Graveyard Garbage was Walking Tacos!

Sunny Side up

in Liberty Nursing Center of Lima

We are celebrating National Assisted Living Week "Sunny Side Up" style! There was a kick-off to the week with a wave parade conducted by family members. One gentleman was receiving kisses blown at him, which he commented, "Those were the best kisses I have received in quite a while!" Then it was also Grandparents Day and several grandchildren showed up to surprise their grandparent. One was even a great grandchild! The residents and family members thoroughly enjoyed their "unhurried visits". Thank you to all who participated, what fun!

Putting Her Call to Use!

in Liberty Nursing Center of Lima

We have an Assisted Living resident who is a retired pastor and she continues to feel God's call on her life. Jean offered her willingness to conduct a scripture service for the residents in our community. They were thrilled to get back to a structured worship service and we will proceed with a weekly gathering. We appreciate Jean's passion for sharing Jesus and are thankful to be recipients of her prayer warrior attitude! Thank you Pastor Jean for making yourself available for such a vital ministry!

There are seniors who do still enjoy being active and we provide programming for those residents. Cardio Drumming was introduced to them since group programming opened back up. Candy Crush Queen

in Liberty Nursing Center of Lima

This is one of our Liberty residents who insisted she wanted to purchase a tablet with some of her stimulus check. This turned out to be wise investment because there is so much she is willing to try on her new electronical device. She was already familiar with Candy Crush and it didn't take her long to claim the title, "Candy Crush Queen"! We give her so much credit for still having the interest in learning how to navigate in unfamiliar territory. She is working with therapy and the activity staff to develop the skills necessary to make the most of her purchase. Have fun and enjoy your new tablet, it won't be long before you will be teaching us some new things!
