Penny Auction

Our Penny Auction is the highlight of the month and we are grateful for assistance from all of the seasoned volunteers who organize and run it. Liberty asks staff and family members to bring in gently used or new items that residents can bid on for pennies or a low dollar amount. The auction is exciting and fun, but most importantly it provides the residents with an opportunity to shop and decorate their rooms without having to leave the comfort of our community. Let the bidding begin!

Animal Visits

Every facility has the usual dog and cat visits, but here at our Colerain location we take animal visits to another level. We receive exotic animal visits! On this particular day Hamilton County Parks was kind enough to bring in several animals, but what especially stood out were the owl, a bunny, and an eagle! Very enjoyable and educational visit—what a terrific day!

Centenarian Plus One

In November we were delighted to have the pleasure of celebrating the birthday of special resident, Madeline Debord. Madeline has been visiting with us for a short stay from Atria Northgate Park, and while she's been with us we've had the unique opportunity to share in the celebration of her 101st birthday! She's quite the historian, and we really enjoyed watching a slide show of her life that her family provided. This is a celebration you don't get to be part of everyday...so happiest of birthdays to you Madeline! Your stay with us has been a pleasure.

Evening Actitivites

We like variety in our evening activities and love to change it up a bit when we can. So recently, when our Dietary Manager, who's also the director of the Body of Christ Church's choir in Walnut Hills, graciously volunteered a visit from the choir we immediately accepted. The residents loved it, we had a wonderful turnout, and we can't wait for them to return!

Tea Anyone?

With cold weather setting in, we thought this would be a great time to have a Tea Party! Our residents enjoyed the chance to socialize and loved using the "fine" china. Sugar anyone? One lump or two?

Parky's Farm Outing

One of the great things about Liberty Colerain is that we love to take our residents on fun-filled outings. So, we took a beautiful Fall day last month and visited Parky's Farm in Hamilton County. It's a fully functional farm that allows visitors to see traditional animals in the barnyard and also visit their orchard and garden. As you can see, it was a great day to be outside and everyone had a wonderful time!

End of Summer Luau

Our community decided to squeeze a little bit more out of summer as the season draws to a close. We celebrated with our very own Hawaiian Luau. Residents and guests kicked back on our "beach" and enjoyed wonderful music and sipped refreshing punch.

Arts and Crafts

While the weather is still so nice, our residents take full advantage of the patio for their early mornings. It's a great, relaxing space to enjoy some fun arts and crafts activities.
