We look forward to celebrating monthly birthdays with ice cream, cake and lots of laughter, but this month we observed a very significant birthday. The excitement centered around our dear John Hadamuscin who celebrated his 100th birthday with us. To make the event even more special, State Representative Mark Romanchuk stopped by to present Mr. Hadamuscin with a special achievement award! As Mr. Hadamuscin took us on a trip down memory lane, we learned that this lifelong resident of Crestline, Ohio has had a very satisfying yet challenging life.
John revealed that his strong work ethic came at an early age when a family tragedy took the life of his father. At the age of 12 he became the man of the family and immediately went to work at a local foundry to support his mother and siblings. He later became a successful vegetable farmer and went on to own and operate Hadamuscin Sanitation. Fishing with his grandchildren was one of his many passions during retirement. The centurion has always stayed busy and enjoyed hard work which he feels has contributed to his long life. Still full of energy and vigor, Mr. Hadamuscin expects to enjoy many more years enjoying the attention and care at our community and the love of his family.
