Celebrating and honoring our Mother's in the community is one of the most important things we do. Marie and our craft circle have done an amazing job with our tree this month. It is very beautiful. The theme they created for this month's tree was "Home Is Where Your Mom Is."

Choosing employee of the month is a big event in our community. Our residents are very serious when making this decision and when you are chosen, it is an honor and something to be very proud of. Jeff Goines, PTA holds that honor this month because our residents treasure his positive attitude, his ability to motivate and keeping us moving and just being a fun GUY!
Having the Easter Bunny visit was such a wonderful surprise for everyone. Hopping down the hallways waving to everyone was so much fun. . . BUT we were a little concerned about how Einstein may react to a visiting furry friend! Well, it was Best Friends Forever at first sight. Einstein was a gracious host with a little nuzzle escorting his new "friend" to each room as they passed out treats.
Determined to find the pot of gold Josephine spent St. Patrick's Day strolling the halls looking high and low for the fortune. Morning passed with no luck. By late afternoon, the excitement began when everyone in the building could hear Josephine yell, "I FOUND THE POT OF GOLD!" When asked what she was going to do with her winnings, she replied, "April out to lunch bunch is Mexican and I am having Taco's!"
We celebrate National Social Services Month because of two beautiful ladies like these. . . We are blessed to have Crystal and Michelle who are both dedicated to their profession and advocate on behalf of our residents. A big THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for all you do.
The Pen Pal Club has had a busy year. Staying in touch, the old fashioned way, has once again become very popular. This club meets monthly over coffee while we write back to all our volunteers. We send them letters and greeting cards with love and well wishes. We miss them and are looking forward to their return one day. Until then, we will keep looking forward to mail delivery and writing back.
Mayo arrives to work greeting his residence and co-workers with "Never fear Mr. Professional is here!" Mayo is always eager and willing to help others with whatever is asked of him. So when "Mr. Professional" tells us to wear our mask, wear our shield, wash our hands and social distance there is one more piece of advice he adds. . . to STAY POSITIVE and always smile.
The month of January is long and cold and boredom can creep in unless you reside at Liberty Nursing Center of Mansfield. Our residents worked overtime painting, gluing and creating the sweetheart tree. It was a labor of LOVE to let our dedicated Nurses and CNA's know how much they are appreciated and loved. It truly is beautiful.
Her creativity has spilled over into bingo! This little lady is one of the most creative people in our community. In her younger days she enjoyed oil painting and creating paintings of beautiful scenery. It was no surprise when glancing over to see her using her M&M candy as bingo markers. I just thought, "how sweet is this?" Every day brings something to smile about!
