16 of our residents enjoyed a recent outing to the Columbus Zoo. Everyone had a great time, and will be talking about it for months! A big thanks to staff and volunteers who went on the trip and made it a huge success!

Well the days are finally getting warm and sunny, so we are taking advantage of it and using every opportunity to take activities outside. This week, residents got some putput time in and topped it all off with a nice break for ice cream!
Since February, this facility has been implementing a program called Music and Memory. We're proud to announce that we are now certified in the program!
Nursing Home week was full of festivities ranging from Mustache Day, Sombrero Day and many contests with a huge fiesta to finish the week off. The residents learned Spanish and how to salsa with a sophisticated dance company.
Our female residents got to celebrate Mother's Day with family and friends as we hosted a Mother's Day Pie Social where everyone brought their favorite pie to share as we drank Sangria to bring on the Fiesta for National Nursing Home Week.
An inactive lifestyle can cause older individuals to lose ground in four important areas: strength, balance, flexibility and endurance. But research suggests that exercise and physical activity can help older ones maintain or partly restore these four areas and that's the goal for Mansfield's Therapy and Activities Departments.
Each year one in every three adults, ages 65 or older, falls. Thankfully, falls aren’t an inevitable part of aging and many can be averted by taking action. So our Therapy staff at the Mansfield facility is working hard to develop a fall prevention program for our residents and staff.
Mansfield residents really got into coloring and filling Easter eggs this year in anticipation of our big hunt on Sat. April 4th. This year's Easter Egg Hunt was another hit, and was open to the public.
Most Irish Men are known for their orangish/red beards...on St. Patrick's Day it was our residents trying to give our Management Department Heads' a full orange beard by throwing cheese puffs at them.
The month of March has brought a new face to the building. Bernice Woodson has become our new Dietary Manager. Bernice has been in food service since the age of 18 including two tours with the Military as a food coordinator. Please stop in and help us to welcome Bernice to our building.
