Many of our residents have short-term needs for rehabilitative care after surgery or other hospital stays for illness or injury. We can help you recover from a stroke, a broken hip, a knee replacement or other situations that require further care and assistance, but not hospitalization. We offer the intermediate care you need to bridge the gap and make your transition back to home as smooth as possible.
Our Therapy Services
While our therapy services are available to all of our residents, they are especially important to those receiving care for rehabilitation. We offer:
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
- Cardiac rehabilitation
- Respiratory therapy
- Ultrasound therapy
- Total enteral nutrition (tube feeding) therapy
- Restorative nursing services
Therapy services are provided in our fully equipped therapy room or in resident rooms, depending on your needs. We also offer follow-up outpatient therapy so you can maintain or continue to progress with your recovery even after leaving our facility.
Meeting Your Changing Needs
Recuperating from an illness or injury is a challenge that requires a team approach, and we're here to support your efforts. Working in partnership with you to gain the health, mobility and strength you need to return home safely, if that is the goal, we involve you and your family in a comprehensive assessment and care plan for therapy and recovery that meets your individual needs. Our licensed therapists can help you restore skills and function, reduce your limitations, and return to the most active and independent lifestyle possible.
Homeward Bound
When an individual is in our care for rehabilitation, one of the first plans that we address—in conjunction with the resident and the family—is the plan to go back home, if that is the goal. Our team of experts will help assess the challenges in the present home environment. They will then make suggestions as to modifications that may be needed to create a healthy and safe environment, which better suits the needs of the individual.
